With a competing foreign source in failure mode and product launch imminent, it was time to get the team from Jasco involved. Challenged with a demanding timeline for component part production, Jasco utilized all aspects of APQP to facilitate a successful transition and ongoing manufacturing of high volume automotive rocker arms for its customer in need.
Jasco took advantage of its financial strength to expedite facility expansion and capital equipment acquisition, as well as the hiring and training of additional skilled craftsmen, all necessary to attain full-volume production levels within six months. With every aspect of start-up, from cutting tool design and manufacture to fixture modeling and fabrication, being executed internally, the process was streamlined and production began ahead of schedule.
